iTQ (NVQ for IT Users) Level 1

Qualification outline

Each ITQ unit has a credit value. You will need to build up 13 credit values to achieve a Level 1 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills (QCF). The units and their individual credit values are summarised below. This qualification is classed as a ‘full’ Level 1.

Who should enrol?

This course is suitable for all age groups who wish to access and develop their skills in ICT for education, employment and recreation.

Aim of the course

This course allows the learner to improve current IT skills raising levels of competence in using IT.

Duration

The course is offered online with vision2learn – an innovative web-based learning system, which you can access via your internet-connected PC. The online course contains all of the learning content needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course, as well as activities to enable you to practise your skills and test your learning. In addition, you will receive help and support from an online tutor – who is always just a click away.

Entry requirements

Learners who have a basic understanding of IT skills.

Progression

Learners that have completed the Level 1 ITQ, can  move onto ITQ Level 2 or ECDL Extra.
