Qualification outline

The course is made up of 2 units:

• Unit 1 Exploring equality and diversity
• Unit 2 Living in diverse communitues

Who should enrol?

This course is suitable for all age groups who wish to access and develop their knowledge in Equality and Diversity, however it is prefered that learners have some basic knowledge surrounding the subject.

Aim of the course

To give learners an introduction to the issues around stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination; to identify the basic rights that all people should enjoy and the shared values people have; and to examine the responsability each person and orginasation has in ensuring that barriers to participation in society are removed.

Duration

The course is offered online with vision2learn – an innovative web-based learning system, which you can access via your internet-connected PC. Entry requirements

Learners who have already achieved the NCFE Level 1 in Equality and Diversity or have a basic understanding of the Subject.

NCFE Level 3 Award in Managing Diversity
NCFE Certificates in Key Skills at levels 2 and 3
Level 2 Qualifications in Youth Work
Level 2 Qualification in Customer Service
