Outline of Program

Our CAD Parametric Modelling Distance Learning Course is tailored to suit candidates seeking to gain experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor. Aimed at those wishing to obtain an intermediate City & Guilds CAD qualification without having to attend a formal course of study on a regular full or part-time basis. Each candidate is supplied with the coursework material and registration with City & Guilds.

 

Candidates will need access to an Autodesk Inventor work station and must attend Doncaster College ICT Academy’s Autodesk Authorized Training Centre for one full day when ready to take the final assessments. Certificates are supplied when the candidate has successfully completed all the assessments. Candidates work at their own pace, but must complete within 9 months of enrolment on the course.

 

Entry Requirements

A course open to students who have reached a level of competence in using Autodesk Inventor, to at least equal to the requirements of the 7579-01 Level 1 scheme.

 

Who Should Attend?

This courseware is designed for experienced Autodesk Inventor users.

An intermediate level module, ideal for students working full time having experience with Autodesk Inventor, to at least equal to the requirements of the 7579-01 Level 1 scheme.

 

Aim of Course

On completion of the course, the candidate will be able to:

· Use complex sketching and 2D constraints to create features

· Create and edit work features and use complex feature commands

· Create and modify simple table driven parts and assemblies

· Use motion and driven assembly constraints

· Add additional information to a drawing layout to aid the interpretation of design intent

· Create presentation quality displays of parts and assemblies
