This course is suitable for those who want an introduction to multi media applications, and already posses some ICT skills.

 

Pre-Course Requirements

There are no formal requirements for the level 1 Certificate/Diploma for iMedia users. However basic knowledge of ICT is preferred.

Course Outline

The OCR iMedia level 1 course is a creative new media and digital arts course. It’s designed to introduce the basics of interactive media, from web page production to digital imaging. The iMedia course will provide you with practical, ‘hands on’ creative skills to help you develop the skills needed fro a career or keen interest in graphic design and web design.

 

Programme Course Structure

 

· Unit 1: Exploring the digital world of media

· Unit 2: Introduction to Web page production

· Unit 3: Creating an animated object (Flash)

· Unit 4: Introduction to digital imaging

 

How is the course organised

Candidates will be required to attend the ICT Academy for 3 hours a week over a period of 30 weeks.

 

ICT Academy operates over the full year and candidates may join the programme at various times during the year.
